Northwest Trade Ally Network Lighting Workshop

This is a free workshop offered to trade allies working with commercial and industrial lighting projects in Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) served utility areas.

Session 1:  7:30 - 10:10 AM
Lighting 101 Workshop
This session will cover:

  • tools and processes to quickly conduct accurate and useful lighting audits
  • "rule of thumb" recommendations for retrofits
  • review of lighting technology
  • understanding utility lighting programs

Session 2:  10:20 - 11:30 AM
New BPA Lighting Calculator

BPA will be introducing a new and improved commercial and industrial lighting calculator that will be required for project approvals after Dec. 31, 2010.  This session will provide an overview and directions on how to obtain and use the calculator for current or future projects.

Just a friendly reminder that Seattle's Lighting Design Lab is en-route to Bozeman to share with us what's new in the lighting design world!  On Wednesday April 28, the LDL will set up shop at the Homewood Suites for two lectures.

Morning Session: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Impact of New Legislation on Lighting, presented by Andrew Pultorak, LC, MIES, will cover energy legislations as they relate to lighting legislation and codes that may impact your businesses.  He will answer questions like "Is the incandescent really being banned forever?" "Why am I hearing that T12 and some T8 lamps are going away?" and "How will these changes effect how I may need to comply with lighting energy codes?"

 

Lunch is included, with registration fee


Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
